The Creative Edge Workshop Presenter:

Kathy Boyatzis, past Opti-MINDS WA Director, and former WA Tournament of MINDS WA Director has been presenting Creative Thinking Workshops for students and Teacher Professional Development all over Western Australia for the past 16 years. Her energy and passion for creative thinking and extensive experience as a workshop convenor make her workshops and Teacher Professional Development sessions an experience to remember.

Student Thinking Skills Workshop

Student workshops provide an exciting range of interactive activities to motivate and empower students with strategies to develop their potential to be better thinkers.

With a focus on developing 21st Century skills these sessions can be designed around your school’s individual requirements.

Teacher Professional Development Workshop

These sessions are designed for teachers who wish to challenge and further the thinking of their students both in the classroom and within their Creative Edge teams. They will also enable you to feel confident about all aspects of the Creative Edge Program.

Workshop content:

  • What is the Creative Edge Problem Solving Challenge?
  • Team selection
  • What is problem solving? How should you walk students through a problem-solving process?
  • Unpacking the Creative Edge Challenges
  • Understanding the Creative Edge Forms
  • How should teams tackle the Impromptu Challenge – ability to focus, idea generation, organisation and evaluation
